DWB Welcomes: Sarayu Adeni

Join us for our fourth meeting of the semester! DWB at UT Austin will be welcoming Sarayu Adeni, the global health program coordinator at the Department of Population Health of Dell Medical School. Adeni is Dell Med’s liaison to the UT International Office and facilitates global health activities involving faculty, residents, students and partners at UT Austin and in Kenya and Mexico.

Adeni served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic from 2010-2012, building PEPFAR-funded teen health promotion groups and supporting women’s and girls’ involvement in community development projects. In her free time, she currently supports refugee girls resettled in Austin via the nonprofit GirlForward. Adeni earned her Master of Public Administration in Development Practice from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. Adeni has a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and a Bridging Disciplines Certificate in international studies from The University of Texas at Austin, and also completed a semester of study and independent research in Chile with the School for International Training.
