Professor Gilman teaches and direct the Immigration Clinic at the University of Texas. Professor Gilman has done extensive research and practice in the field of international human and immigrant rights. Professor Gilman was Director of the Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project at the Washington Lawyers’ Committee. She has investigated several cases involving law enforcement abuse against immigrants and discrimination against newcomers in housing and employment.
