Marissa Burgermaster, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of population health at Dell Medical School and an assistant professor of nutritional sciences at The University of Texas at Austin College of Natural Sciences.
Her research applies data science and human-computer interaction methods to improve nutrition and community health. Prior to joining UT Austin, Burgermaster completed a postdoctoral fellowship in biomedical informatics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center where she conducted research on technologies for diabetes management among underserved New Yorkers.
