Dr Darlene Bhavnani is a public health professional with advanced training and 7 years of experience working in global health and infectious disease epidemiology. Her interests include improving surveillance of infectious diseases, understanding factors that drive their transmission and the design of public health interventions to interrupt transmission. She has worked in academic, government and non-governmental organization settings in the US, Asia and Latin America.
She currently works at Dell Medical School as an Epidemiologist in the Population Health Department, and she recently lead efforts to contact trace in Austin.
